In this series we're sharing our top five secrets for making Facebook fundraisers sustainable revenue for nonprofits. Did you miss any of the first three secrets? Review them here:

#1 Focus on the Fundraisers

#2 Turn on Facebook Giving Tools

#3 Create a Landing Page

Secret #4: Immediately start creating the best possible experience for people who fundraise for you on Facebook.

Don't forget about your fundraisers when their campaign is over. Remember, these folks are a new audience for you and statistically they haven't even Liked your page on Facebook. The next step is to make it easy for them to stay involved. Once you've thanked them for fundraising for you, take it a step further and send them content via email.

Someone who went to the trouble to fundraise for you very likely has an affinity for your cause. Contacting them by email is the first step in building a long-term relationship. Send a note sharing ways they can get more involved, including:

  • Volunteer opportunities
  • Events near them
  • Social media messages they can share
  • How a larger or recurring monthly gift can have a bigger impact

This is also a good opportunity to let them know how you're using the donations they raised. Consider an infographic such as this:

When donors see real impacts of their efforts, they're more likely to give (and campaign for you) again.
