On the one hand, Facebook is generating millions of new dollars in revenue for charities at a time when overall giving is down. On the other hand, there's virtually no insight into giving trends that would allow nonprofits to predict or manage this new revenue.
We've been gathering data for the last year and are putting the finishing touches on our first annual Facebook Giving Trends Report.
This report shows fundraiser activity by month overall, and activity broken down by size of nonprofit. It also explores whether or not birthday fundraisers can be predicted by the most common birthdays in the US.
