What are Facebook’s Giving Tools?
Facebook’s Giving Tools are built-in fundraising features on Facebook and Instagram that let nonprofits collect donations directly through the platform. These include donation buttons on posts and profiles, Facebook and Instagram fundraisers, birthday fundraisers, and participation in giving campaigns or challenges.
Why Nonprofits Should Use Them
They allow nonprofits to meet supporters where they already spend time, removing friction from the donation experience. Giving Tools help drive new donor acquisition, unlock peer-to-peer fundraising through sharing, and generate incremental revenue without requiring additional staff or complex tech.
How To Use Them
Nonprofits enroll in Facebook for Nonprofits, complete organization verification, and connect a bank account to receive funds. Once approved, donation buttons and fundraisers can be added to posts, videos, profiles, and campaigns, making it easy to start raising funds immediately.
