It all started with a simple goal: reach new supporters with a compelling message that invites action.
We sent 16,470 messages to first-time participants—and they didn’t just vanish into the void. An impressive 97% were successfully delivered (that’s 15,990 messages that landed right where they were meant to be).
But even more exciting? Over 10,660 people opened the message, a 67% open rate. That’s not just a digital glance—it’s thousands of people taking a moment to say, “I’m listening.” And in a world of scrolls and swipes, that moment matters.
Turning Curiosity Into Action
The heart of this journey came next: the first real invitation to get involved. Each supporter saw a button—“Join Us,” “See What’s Next,” or something equally inviting.
2,370 people tapped that button, taking a step beyond interest into action. That’s 22% of those who opened—each click a small spark of intent.
Think of this like supporters walking up to your front porch. They didn’t just wave from the sidewalk—they knocked on the door. And what they found next determined whether they’d walk inside.
Trust That Builds the Relationship
Once someone engaged, we asked for permission to keep the conversation going. It’s a small but powerful ask: “Can we keep in touch?”
The response was overwhelmingly positive.
- 2,160 people opened the follow-up message—a staggering 91% open rate
- 1,130 of them said “yes” and granted permission to continue the journey
That’s over half of those who opened the message. And it’s not just a metric—it’s a milestone. It tells us the earlier content struck the right tone: welcoming, trustworthy, and worth returning to.

Toward the end of the journey, we invited supporters to go deeper—to share something personal. Whether it was an email address to stay in touch or a story about why this cause matters to them, this was the most meaningful kind of engagement.

We’re proud of the results, but we’re even more energized by what they reveal. While thousands engaged with the campaign, we saw a noticeable drop-off at that first clickable moment—the engagement button. That insight matters.
